We are pleased to announce the provisional appointment of Stephen Bourbon as the new Principal of Beaumaris Secondary College. Steve is well-known to our community, having previously served as an Assistant Principal and Acting Principal at the college.

Over the past year, Steve took on the role of Acting Principal then Principal at Cranbourne East Primary School. Before joining Beaumaris, he held the position of Assistant Principal at two other schools.

Steve is deeply committed to student success and wellbeing. He is passionate about helping both students and teachers achieve positive outcomes and strives to create an environment where every student has the opportunity to excel. His leadership focuses on nurturing the personal, academic, and wellbeing growth of young people, empowering them to realise their full potential.

Steve shares our vision for students to contribute meaningfully to our world with responsibility, pride and integrity. His values align closely with Beaumaris Secondary College’s CORE values of Curiosity, Optimism, Respect and Excellence.

Following a rigorous recruitment process led by the School Council in consultation with the Department of Education, Steve was selected as the ideal candidate for this role. His provisional appointment is subject to the completion of a two-week appeals process mandated by the Department of Education.
