Year 8 prodigy Tass C has led our Beauy chess team to the state finals, finishing outright 1st ahead of a current U14 national champion and about 240 other Year 7-12 students competing in the regional open championships at Brighton Grammar today.

Tass dominated with 7 consecutive wins, propelling our team to equal 7th overall out of about 44 teams from some of the state’s top schools. He was the only student to win all of his matches on the day! Next stop: state finals!
