Camps & Exchange Program

At Beaumaris Secondary College, we believe in the power of experiential learning, providing students with unforgettable experiences through our diverse range of camps and exchange opportunities, aimed at fostering personal growth, teamwork, and cultural understanding.

Kokoda 2023

In 2023, our Assistant Principals, Peter Bartlett and Deb Kirk, embarked on the Kokoda Trek alongside Year 11 and 12 students. This transformative journey is captured in the video below, showcasing the resilience and camaraderie developed through this historic experience.

French & Japanese Exchange

Students studying French or Japanese have the incredible opportunity to broaden their horizons through our exchange program. Connect with students from different cultures, enhance language skills, and create lifelong memories.

Year Level Camps

Year 7

Lord Somers - Term 1

Located on the picturesque Mornington Peninsula with a blend of beach and bush surroundings, students engage in stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and cultural activities, fostering new friendships and personal growth.

Year 8

The Summit - Term 2

Nestled in the breathtaking natural landscape of Trafalgar, Gippsland, The Summit camp offers a variety of activities such as ropes course, rock climbing and the infamous Monster obstacle course. Students are immersed in fun, teamwork and resilience-building experiences.

Year 9

Choose Your Own Adventure - Term 2

Students choose their own adventure with a variety of engaging options such as Urban Expedition, Reef to Rainforest, Billabong Ranch, Great Ocean Road Hiking and Sailing.

Year 12

CYC Forest Edge - Term 1

Year 12 students kickstart their final year with a camp to Forest Edge, featuring activities aimed at fostering connection and preparing them for a successful year ahead.

Other Camps

Ski Camp

Beginner and advanced ski camps are offered to Year 9 & 10 students who are keen to hit the slopes for a winter adventure.

The Great Outdoors 

The Great Outdoors (Year 9 & 10 Specialism) students participate in immersive experiences that aim to deepen their connection with the natural environment while emphasising the impact of recreation on our surroundings. The diverse range of camps may include:

  • Clifford Park Activity Centre
  • Wilsons Promontory
  • Cathedral Ranges Hiking
  • Sea Kayaking on the Mornington Peninsula

Outdoor and Environmental Studies

Our VCE Outdoor and Environmental Studies students experience an enriching blend of education and adventure such as cross-country skiing and the Murray River Paddle. These camps are crafted to deepen understanding, foster practical skills and create lasting memories.

The Great Victorian Bike Ride

The ultimate riding adventure, challenging students to test their limits while soaking up the incredible atmosphere as they pedal through new towns each day.
